Lynn Buchanan is President of Buchanan & Associates Consulting, a national consulting firm founded in 1998. Utilizing her 25+ years of experience, Lynn provides clients with assistance in all areas of credentialing, privileging, medical staff support services and medical staff governance. Clients from coast to coast include rural and urban hospitals, large healthcare systems, MCOs and CVOs.
Lynn is a frequently requested speaker at state and national conferences across the country, with programs ranging from basic credentialing to management skills, as well as medical staff leadership training. An avid supporter of the medical services profession, Lynn has held numerous positions at both the state and national levels, and is a Past President of the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) as well as the Texas state association. She has been a team surveyor for NCQA’s CVO certification program, is a charter member of the National Credentialing Forum, has served on several editorial boards, and is a regular contributor to various healthcare publications. Lynn is also co-founder and Managing Partner of Edge-U-Cate, a national company providing educational products for healthcare professionals. She is also co-developer and faculty member for Edge-U-Cate’s popular “The Credentialing School” courses.
